It started the way most great things do — two friends, a weekend, and a smoker fired up and ready to go.

We'd been BBQing together for years. Trying new rubs, experimenting with different woods, chasing that perfect bark and that fall off the bone tenderness that every pitmaster dreams about. We thought we'd tried everything.

Then one weekend we discovered a peppery spread that changed everything.

One taste and we both knew — this wasn't just a condiment. This was The BBQ Boost. The missing ingredient that takes good BBQ and makes it legendary. Bold enough to stand up to the smoke. Sweet enough to caramelize into an incredible glaze. Peppery enough to make everyone at the cookout ask what your secret is.

We couldn't stop talking about it. We couldn't stop using it. And we couldn't understand why nobody else knew about it.

So we decided to do something about it.

Smoky Mountain Spread was born right here in Knoxville Tennessee — in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. We're not a big corporation. We're not a fancy food lab. We're two friends who fell in love with a product and wanted to share it with every BBQ lover in the country.

We built this from scratch. Two different states. One shared passion. And a belief that every backyard pitmaster deserves access to The BBQ Boost.
